The primary role of the Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide back-up coverage for the nursing staff in Primary Care (PC) including the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), Specialty & Acute Care (SAC) and the Surgical Clinics, as well as COVID screening. The duty station is the Columbus VA, with occasional travel to the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) to provide coverage. The RN works during the week andoccasional weekends/holidays. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
