You will provide patient care to the highest standard and you will become an integral part of our multi-disciplinary oncology team. The Dosimetrist:
In collaboration with the radiation oncologist and medical physicist, uses critical thinking and problem solving skills to develop, generate, and evaluate treatment plans using Monaco (Treatment planning system) and manual calculations, based on prescribed target region and avoidance dose criteria
Uses a wide variety of patient imaging modalities registered to the planning images, which assists in the identification of physician delineated target structures and critical structures to be avoided.
Performs calculation checks to ensure accuracy of the plans.
Qualifications: This position requires certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) and good standing with the credentialing board is required. ARRT therapy and state therapy licensing credentials are optional but encouraged when working in the radiation oncology setting. Minimum three to five years' experience in medical dosimetry. Direct work experience with Elekta Monaco a plus.
