Summary:
The Food Service Manager is directly responsible for total operation of the Food Service and Nutrition department & vending.
Responsibilities:
1.Adds value as a key member of management understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
2.Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
3.Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
4.Supervise and monitor all patient systems related to patient feeding.
5.Contains costs through proper food handling, utilization, staffing and inventory controls.
6.Responsible for controlling & auditing daily sales and receipts.
7.Responsible for menu and recipe development.
8.Organizes merchandising and special promotions for Retail Food Service.
9.Human Resources Management: Demonstrates the skills associated with efficient management of human resources.
10.General Management Responsibilities: Carries out the leadership and administrative responsibilities of management in an accurate, timely and results oriented manner.
11.Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1.Experience in Food Service Management s required/preferred.
2.Experience in Nutrition is required/preferred.
3.Experience in menu planning, forecasting and Supply Chain ordering is required.
4.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
5.Experience in healthcare is required.
6.Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Proficiency in use of CBORD and Supply Chain ordering software is /preferred.
Education and Experience
1.Education: Associate Degree in Food Service Management or related field is required Bachelor's degree is preferred.
2.Certification: Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) or Certified Dietary Manager is required
3.Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
4.Years of experience supervising: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
